Baby Skin Disorder – Baby Acne Causes | Treatment – Pt 2

Very often, this baby acne breakouts can be hard to diagnose accurately because there are different underlying causes mimicking the appearance of the acne. As with adolescent acne, there's no straight forward answer. They may be harmless appearance condition that looks menacing and even though it is the real acne, it has its own behavioral style and attacking tactic.

One common example is the involvement of a type of rash from Pityrosporum, a type of yeast, that most people thought is acne but is harmless and can be removed with topical antifungal cream. If the acne occurs in newborn, it is

For the infantile acne, it is more common at baby boys than bay girls and it needs more attention than neonatal acne. It is gender-biased. Infantile acne resembles more closely to adolescent acne with the comedones ( non-inflammatory enlarge and plugged follicles ) and inflammatory lesions.

In some cases, infantile acne has led to pitted scar and there are some facts that this acne which is relatively uncommon, may be the symptom of future problems with acne. After diagnosing, this acne can be treated with either topical or oral antibiotics in conjunction with BP or Retin-A. For this infantile acne, early treatment is crucial even at mild cases as to prevent pitted scarring.
